This Cummins part is for use on CM2350B or CM2450B ECU’s present in the Dodge Rams with the 6.7 litre Cummins engine.

This ECM tuning harness requires a base cable either KKCMBASESH01 or KKCMBASELG01.   If you have a Cummins base harness or one from another independent suppler,   This ECM tuning harness will be compatible.

Cummins cables can be used for a variety of purposes, including:

• Flashing Standard Calibrations
• Flashing Customized ECM Programs
• Diagnostics when OBD plug is faulty
• Programming the ECM when not on the truck

With CANBUS communication becoming more complex, even with simply flashing standard files, manufacturers are now recommending the use of bench harness’s rather than flashing via the OBD port to prevent potential file corruption.   By extension if flashing customized files the risks are even greater.   So if your focus is on providing the very best programming you need to be flashing via a ECM bench tuning harness.
