We started from necessity…
As a tuning company with a global presence the founders of Konnect Kables began making quality cables for their own network in 2010 due to the absence of high quality cables available. Since this time we have developed an extensive knowledge base which has accumulated to a point where we have decided to share our knowledge and provide a quality cable supply service as a separate business.
Our
History
2010
We founded a tuning business, part of which specialized in remapping the transmissions in Heavy Transport Vehicles and the initial results were blowing away all expectations and eclipsing results normally associated with traditional ECU tuning. While the R&D and programming behind this is extremely complex, we developed an application so simple and all via the OBD. So simple in fact the very first truck ever programmed was done so by the customer.
2012
Having directed a large amount of resources at Toyota, we were able to meet the growing need for clients wanting to increase drive-ability and economy out of their Land Cruiser 4.5 TD. In a global first, our engineers managed to utilise our new OBD Flash Tuning tool, RDT-Shift, and RDT-Shift-Plus, to bring economy tuning to Toyota models. Producing up yo 10% fuel savings, on your average journey, the tool is hyper-fast 64 bit architecture and will tune the gearbox and engine in 30 seconds flat.
2016
In a global first, we showed off tuning capabilities for full transmission PDK map, and full ECU map on the ‘untunable’ Porsche 981 series Boxster/Cayman range. Delivering a healthy 20-25 hp across the rev range and doubling the shift speed, a package which totally transforms the driving experience and enhances an already astonishing package into a better version of itself. Faster, more responsive, more decisive.
2020
Creation of a new business with a focus on the manufacture and sales of military grade cables for large commercial and industrial engine tuning.
